Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is an ester of plant-derived Lauric Acid and Glycerin.  Like most poly-glycerin based high l hlb emulsifiers, it is multifunctional.  It functions as an oil-in-water emulsifier  as well as a cleansing agent and solubilizer. alcohol-free products. PGL-10 Laurate  is widely used in under-eye and face cleansing products for its ability to effectively remove dirt without drying the skin.  It  leaves a pleasant feel on the skin.
