It functions as a skin conditioning agent, emollient, emulsifier, and binding agent. Additionally, it acts as an opacifier and pearlescent agent, creating white, glossy, and aesthetically pleasing textures. It also has viscosity-enhancing properties. Besides conditioning hair, Glycerol Distearate serves as an antistatic agent and adds luster and shimmer.
