Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate (PCG) is a naturally derived, sulfate-free, mild surfactant widely used for its excellent cleansing, foaming, and hair and skin conditioning properties.   It is the potassium salt formed by the reaction between coconut fatty acid chloride and the amino acid glycine. This anhydrous version is highly concentrated and contains less than 1% salt. As an anionic surfactant, it effectively removes dirt and oils without stripping the skin of moisture. It is extremely mild and leaves the skin feeling clean and fresh.  As a hair conditioning agent, it makes hair easy to comb and imparts shine.

PCG can withstand short-term exposure to heat up to 80°C and is resistant to hard water. However, prolonged exposure above 80°C can degrade it and reduce its foaming potential. It is eco-friendly, as it is derived from renewable resources and, due to its water solubility and biodegradability, does not accumulate in the environment.

Application: Suitable for use in body washes and facial cleansing foams.
