Dipalmitoyl hydroxyproline is an oil-soluble ester of the amino acid hydroxyproline and hydrogenated palmitic acid. DPHP is a naturally derived signal peptide; hydroxyproline, a derivative of proline, is produced from vegetable sources and palmitic acid from palm oil. It is the main constituent of collagen and is combined with palmitic acid to enhance stability and absorption.
